Embroidery on pieced cotton, 9x9 inches each, 2019

This was a year-long project which involved interviewing a friend via social media, using their "Best 9" tiles to inspire a 9 square background, and using one of their selfies to inspire a stitched line drawing. The purpose of this project was to consider how people present themselves on social media vs. how they are in real life.
